University Polytechnic campus life accommodates a prolific range of co-curricular activities as part of its daily routine. Apart from ensuring the physical well-being of students, it is also essentially a way of life for students at Polytechnic and helps them come together on numerous occasions in a spirit of healthy rivalry and true sportsmanship. Whether it is a casual face-off between friends, intra-college championships, or inter-college tournaments organised on a grand scale, students of University Polytechnic, BIT Mesra have proved their worth in sports time and again.

The Department of Physical Education and sports regularly organises various activities and is well equipped with appropriate facilities.

Games and Sports include:                              

  • Ground for Track & Field events
  • Cricket and football grounds
  • Basket Ball, Volleyball, and badminton courts

Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi Celebration

Women's day 8th  March 2022               

Workshop on Digital Payment

University Polytechnic launched a two-day programme to celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi at the premises of the Institute. On day 1, International Women's Day was celebrated by organising a workshop on digital payment technology for the women from local villages and explaining online payment methods and the use of Q.R. codes. Quite a large number of women from the surrounding villages were gathered and learnt from the experts. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Vinay Sharma, Director, University Polytechnic, addressed the gathering on women's empowerment and highlighted the self-reliance citing excerpts from Veda and Purana.

Blood Donation Camp (9th March 2022)

One day  2 of the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi the University Polytechnic, B. I.T. Mesra, in collaboration with Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, organised a blood donation camp. About 45 units of blood were collected. Prof Vinay Sharma, Director, University Polytechnic, encouraged the gathering to donate blood once in their life. He honoured volunteers with a certificate of appreciation for donating blood. Blood pressure, sugar and blood groups were checked free of cost on the occasion.

PT and Yoga classes  (8th March to 15th May 2022)

Event 3 was witnessed with the organisation of P.T. and yoga classes for students, staff and the teaching fraternity of the university polytechnic, BIT, Mesra, Ranchi. Yoga classes were organised under the supervision of Mrs Sapna Jha, women coordinator, Patanjali, Ranchi branch. The benefits of the yoga classes were delineated by her and she encouraged the gathering to make Yoga a daily event in everyone's life.
