Mr Nishant Sharma secured first prize in a hackathon conducted by the Ministry of Cooperation Government of India

Mr Nishant Sharma, a third-year student, Integrated M.Sc. Quantitative Economics and Data Science, Birla Institute of Technology secured first prize in a hackathon conducted by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. The 'Hackathon' competition was organized to invite youth participation and ideas in building the newly developed Central Registrar Office portal dashboard. It was announced during the launch of the digital portal of CRCS in Pune on 6th August 2023.  The prize money was Rs 1 lac. He received the prize from the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Mr Amit Shah. The dashboard developed by Nishant, provides real-time updates, drill-down capabilities for detailed analysis, comparative performance charts, and trend analysis for actionable insights in compliance with Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act (MSCS Act). His efforts were lauded in terms of the simple user interface developed with a wonderful user experience.
